PETE
PALUMBO, P.Eng, M.Eng.
Mr.
Palumbo is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with
a B.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering. In addition, he
earned his M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering in 1986 from the
University of Toronto.
His
work experience has encompassed positions such as:
• a field applications engineer working with
computerized process control systems - mostly for the pulp
and paper industry;
• a process engineer with a consulting engineering
firm working on projects involving chemical process design,
instrumentation systems, chemical reactors, heat exchangers,
bulk and material handling and P & ID development;
• a research and development engineer with the
Institute for Hydrogen Systems investigating hydrogen utilization;
• a sales and application engineer for a manufacturer
of industrial, commercial and residential electric heating
products;
• a manager of engineering for a manufacturer
of refrigeration and air-conditioning products and systems;
and
• a vice-president of engineered systems for
a company supplying customized industrial heating and cooling
systems.
His
project experience has covered a broad spectrum of industries
including pulp & paper, chemicals, plastics, packaging,
foods and beverages, wire and cable, automotive, and pharmaceutical.
Mr.
Palumbo is a Professional Engineer and a Designated Consulting
Engineer, a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario
(PEO), the Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO), the Association
of Consulting Engineers of Canada (ACEC), the American Society
of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE), and the Instrument Society of America (ISA).
